Houses of Hawk Run Hollow is Back

I brought Houses of Hawk Run Hollow back out today. Now that I do not have those huge Chatelaine commitments this year, I am hoping to finally get this done. I am too ashamed to say when I started this project, but long term blog readers know! And, now that Becky is back to stitching and blogging, she is also interested in getting back on with this again with me - we had a loose SAL of this last year, which did not get very far on either of our parts. I think we are both much more committed (and freer) this year.

We had freezing rain all day, and now it is sheets of ice outside. I think I might have my first "bad weather" day tomorrow and stay home and relax. We'll see in the morning.... It is hard to imagine it was almost 70 in the D.C. area today, which is not so very far from here. But a cold front from Canada has reached us. I hope after this event the drier weather pattern will at least return. In the meantime, I will take it easy and relax with my stitching - can't really complain about that!

Many have asked how the kitties are doing - thanks :-) Angus is about due for a check up to see if he can have his stitches removed. And maybe his e-collar soon too. I think he is quite depressed with that thing on. He hasn't been able to bathe himself since he went into the hospital back on December 19th. He vomited his food up yesterday, and may have this morning as well (although I think that was Anouk with a hair ball). Gig seems to be well on the mend, although he really fights us with taking his antibiotic!

Stitched on today: Finished a gift, and Houses of Hawk Run Hollow

Ooooo, freezing rain is the worst! I think tomorrow should definitely be a weather day for you! We have the awfully cold temps here too, but without the precip. thankfully. Think it's going to warm up to 32 tomorrow. :D

Carol, your HoHRH is turning out lovely. I should pull out mine too. If during this year Becky and you go on with your SAL, I'll try to join us.

It's awful weather up in the part of Maine where my mom lives - I hope you're able to escape it!

Sorry about Angus being so unhappy with his collar. Dan only had to wear his for about a week, and even then he was getting really upset about it.

It's GREAT to see HOHRH again!

Sorry to hear Winter has finally hit. Summer has finally come here as well. The days are getting really hot. Very hard to sleep at night. I am happy you might stay home. I worry about you on the icy roads.

Coincidentally, I got out HOHRH the other night. I might join you and Becky:) I am also doing VOHRH as well. My aim is to finish both this year. My other aim is to try and get back to regular Blogging:)

Hope the weather improves, I think I dislike ice the most. I can handle snow, cold, heat, storms but not ice! Hope things improve. I just love the HoHRH piece. Yours looks great so far. Happy stitching :-).

It was 70 today! The girls loved playing outside without coats, but it's a bit too warm for my tastes. Ice storms are the absolute worst. The weather man said temps will drop all day and be in the teens by tonight! Quite a change.

HoHRH looks great! And I think you're allowed to have some projects that take awhile. Goodness, how long have Ibeen working on my ONE piece? lol

It feels so good to pick up a neglected piece and get that enthusiasm to work on it again. I'm not too far behind with my HOHRH, only one block less!

Funny how your cold weather comes from the north, and our weather man blames our freezing rain on the US northwest LOL!

Glad the kitties are doing OK!

Nice to see HoHRH! I saw the pattern at the LNS & realized how much stitching is involved in each square. And, it is stunning when completed.

Most of our 'weather' went North and East of us. Which was very lucky - they are still getting about an inch of snow per hour. It is snowing; however, not blowing around like last night.

Good to hear news of your pets. Mine are in three balls - all curled up keeping warm.

Once again - cannot log into blogger. What a drag!! Always, Lelia

Wow Carol, your Houses of Hawk Run Hollow are really pretty! I don't know why, but yours seems to stand out as being extra pretty! I don't have this one but have seen it in other's blogs. The colors are just splendid! Debby
