Karen & Bren are here from Australia today!

And, off we went to Boston! Here we are having lunch at Cheers in Faneuil Hall..... Mike was with us, but someone had to take the picture! Not a great photo, but the only one I am not talking in :-) What a great day in the 80's today! (left to right: Karen, Carol, Bren) For those not in the know, Karen and Bren own Dragonfly Dreams, an exceptional online xs shop in Australia, that will soon also be "brick and mortar" in Katoomba next month :-)Karen and Bren (her DH) sitting with the statue of Red Auerbach, former owner of the Boston Celtics, at Faneuil Hall.... and how did we get there?... By limo! And, I did find a couple of hours tonight to work on Miracle Butterfly, but after all that time in the sun and drinking beer and a Hot 'n Dirty martini... well, just got some more of one of her wings done tonight :-)
And... here are some of the many new blooms in the garden today -
Karen gave me my birthday present today - I am just too overwhelmed by this! I will take photos tomorrow - she made me the most stunning quilt! I have always wanted a quilt - this one is amazing and I do not feel deserving of this gift! I will make sure to post this.... I am lost for words though!!

Stitched on today: Miracle Butterfly
***Forgot my little sports updates - LOL! OK, the Red Sox won, 6-3 over the Angels... we saw bits and pieces while at various bars in Boston! And, Ryan Newman came in 8th in the race at Dover.... but remains 4th in points. Wins remain elusive for Ryan... :-(

Hi Carol

Sounds like you had a fantastic day! Wish I could've been there too lol.

I've just been to the Dragonfly Dreams website and it looks a fantastic shop. I just so wish there was a needlework shop like that round here. Anything that's slightly speciality like Needlepaints, speciality threads, hand-dyed fabrics we have to order direct from USA usually. Tell Karen and Bren we want a shop here in the UK too lol.

Your garden must be so pretty. You'll have to put a full photo on (you probably already have at some point but I haven't seen it).

Looking forward to seeing your birthday gift. It sounds fantastic!

I too can't wait to see your quilt Carol!

Looks like you had a great time, sounds wonderful! And pretty flowers again... I can hardly imagine how wonderful your garden must be!

Sounds like you had a great time in Boston! The weather sure was up for it. We almost went in to Boston Common to sit in the park but decided to try out the local park since it's a much shorter drive :)

Petal Fairy looks almost done! She really doesn't look like she'll be much longer!

I forgot to say that I took the bead idea for Oh Christmas Tree from another Carol (Carol I used to work with at the LNS) ...so feel free to use it. NOW, if you decide what to do about the other beads (the bugle beads on the tree, that they no longer make) please share with me :)
