Almost there now...

I finished all of the stitching now on MTM, and I have been moving along on the beading too. I have a bit left to do still.... I can't believe that this project is suddenly coming together very quickly and will be done soon!
Here is a closeup picture of some of the beading and crystals on MTM.... not the best picture, but it shows how much sparkly stuff is on this project. I am not a big fan of the Swarovski crystals, and had forgotten how much I don't care for them until I had to start attaching them yesterday. I remember disliking them when I did Mystery VI in 2004. I just don't think they lay well on the linen and are (in my opinion, and I don't mean to offend anyone) a little bit cheap looking. Oh well, I get the whole sparkly idea, and that's OK.
Daylily: Magic Carpet Ride

We have yet to get that rain we were forecasted from Ernesto. Maybe here in southern NH we are just a little too far north, or maybe it will come later when we are sleeping??

Oh, before I forget - this is my stitching journal - please don't feel you have to keep coming up with something to say about MTM day after day - LOL!! No need to comment if you can't think of anything. I am sure it gets difficult to come up with things to say since I post daily :-)

Mike picked up some new DVDs for our collection today - Poseidon (I think I know this story already...) and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (from the sale bin).

Stitched on today: Medieval Town Mandala

It is pretty, Carol! I am not a sparkly girl, so I totally appreciate how you feel about the Swarovski crystals. :o)

MTM does look stunning...I know I say that evertime but it's true :o)

I love the name of the daylily, very apt for here and the colour is vibrant

It looks fantastic Carol. It has been fun to watch you every step of the way on this incredible undertaking. In the way of the crystals...swarovski is the best you can go...but I'm not a huge fan of combining the two mediums(beading and cross stitch). I will say though all of the pieces are always spectacular when completed and yours will be as well.

Another fabulous lily name!!

As for those crystals, I've never used them in stitching, but my MIL has a necklace of them and well, I agree with your opinion. ;>

MTM is just gorgous! I love to see the updates on it, got me interested in stitching a Chatelaine too.

The daylilie pictures are wonderful too, I have written down some varieties to look for next year. Can never have to many daylilies in the yard.

Carol, that is a great photo to show off the beads on the piece.

We didn't get much rain yesterday either. I sure don't know where Ernesto went but, most of it wasn't here.

I know what you mean about the crystals not laying well on the fabric. They weren't quite intended for that use, I think. Regardless, I'm sure the overall effect is stunning!

Hi Carol:

Oh I just can't believe how pretty your MTM is! I haven't been in here for awhile and this is my first time seeing it. I am just in awe of how beautiful your work is! You put me to shame!! I haven't even seen this pattern before so I find it to be just awesome! It must have taken you a very long time, but perhaps not. Thank your for visiting my blog and for your nice comments. My husband is still smiling as am I !! Debby

It looks gorgeous! I have to admit that I don't like embellishing my projects with ANY beads or crystals, so I know where you're coming from.

You silly woman! We don't comment on MTM because we feel we have to! It's just such a stunning piece that I, for one, would never attempt it, and I admire every stitch you crossed and every bead you add(ed)!
