Slow going with Mystery IX

I am almost half done now with Part 9 of Mystery IX (minus the beading that I will do at the end) - I underestimated how long it would take to stitch this part. I feel like I stitched forever tonight, but I only got this far. It is still early in the month, though. I will just have to give it more attention than I had expected it would need.
Mike asked me to post this photo in my blog. He apparently took it one evening while I was finishing up MTM. I must have been out of the room. Anyhow, he calls it "the solitude of the stitcher."

This part of MTM adds such a lovely touch of delicacy. I can hardly wait to see it with the beads. And Mike's picture is very evocative of late nights passed quietly stitching. Good job, Mike!

Mystery IX looks great. I can see where the areas you are stitching could be a little tedious and slow going. But I'm sure you will give it the proper attention it needs :).

Thanks for the help with the cropping, is there someway to preview what the scan will look like before you actually scan it, so if it's crooked if can be fixed? My scanner takes considerable time to scan, that's why I don't redo it.

Love the daylily, especially without a bug. :>)

Wow, that is such a beautiful picture Mike took! I love it. Mike has an eye for beauty! And it shows how much he appreciates your stitching, you know :)

I really like that new part of Mystery IX :)

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday! :)

I love the "solitude of the stitcher" picture...how thoughtful of your husband to snap a shot of your work....my husband kicks mine to the side...not really, but he's not that interested in what I do with stitching. As a matter of fact...my drive and thirst for stash is the bane of his existence! LOL!
:o)

Your MTM is really something, as with your Chatelaine its going to be stunning. Mike's picture reflects solitude to perfectly.

Cool pic Mike took. it does relay solitude and relaxation, although probably not so if you were in the midst of beading. :D

I can imagine it might be slow - lots of counting with nothing much around it to refer too. But it looks great. The pieces are really coming together now.

Love the photo Mike took too! :)

I too can envision the stitcher working away quietly through the wee hours. That would NOT be me, lol! I need my sleep.

The photo also shows the size of the design. I knew it was large, but the pic really puts it into perspective!

Excellent work to both of you. :D
