An Emblem of Love Update

It's Monday, so I worked on An Emblem of Love again. This sampler continues to move along pretty quickly :-)

I just saw in Jenn's blog that today she received the fabric she bought from me last week.... and in the package I tucked in a little fob that I had made for her. She was so down in recent days, and I wanted to give her a little "therapy fob" to remind her that her friends love her. (I finished it in the evening and it was raining out... so I could not get a good photo).

I Love You

Shepherd's Bush, 1999 freebie

Zweigart 28 ct Natural Quaker Linen

Gentle Arts Sampler Threads, Mill Hill Petite Beads

Stitched 10/18/06 - 10/19/06

Stitched on today: Blessings Be Thine and An Emblem of Love

***Note to self: To keep track... in preparation for winter and to deal with recent weight gain (due to sloth), I restarted the induction phase of Atkins today

Wow, Carol, that is a totally gorgeous fob and I bet it did wonders to raise Jenn's spirits! You are a WONDERFUL friend!!!

As for weight gain ... whew, after meeting you I find it nearly impossible to believe that you could gain weight or be slothful. Not being too hard on yourself, are you?

(((((hugs)))))

Carol, that is another gorgeous fob! Got any tips for me? EOL is progressing great.

EoL is still one of my favorites, and "delicate" is still the word that best describes this piece. Bittersweet is the perfect fabric to have chosen for this.

EOL is looking so pretty. The more you stitch on it, the more I love it. Love the fob too, what a sweet thing to do for her...she probably really needed that pick me up.

I tried to leave a comment earlier, but Blogger wouldn't let me. It's 4 AM here (don't ask) and I'm hoping Blogger is a bit kinder now. I just wanted to say that, next to human beings and doggies, sloths are my favourite creatures on earth. Having said that, I don't believe for a minute that you are one. But I wish you luck with Dr. Atkins anyway.
Your fob for Jenn is lovely. You're a sweetie, Carol!
