No peeking

Untrue to form, I am not able to show you what I stitched today. I don't think that has ever happened in my 2+ years of blogging. Tonight I started Dianne's Neighborhood Round Robin (finally!!), but she has specifically asked the group not to show how her round robin is progressing. She wants to be surprised. She says a postage stamp sized piece is OK to show, but not tonight - I worked only in one color tonight and it looks sort of like a blob - not something I want to use for that tiny peek, not yet!

But... I can show something. I got an email from Annemarie this morning letting me know that she received the little gift I made and sent to her. This was my first of very many PIF gifts that I have signed up to do. I was happy that Annemarie was thrilled with it. This little ornament was made for the amazing stick tree that she has in her kitchen. She hangs little bird ornaments on it. This design is from December's issue of The Gift of Stitching magazine, and it includes both over one and over two stitching within the design - and the over one is actually stitched with two threads. I wasn't too sure about that - but Annemarie likes it :-)

Carina, I saw your question in yesterday's comments about the Gingher scissors Mike sells. Yes, he still has them! I couldn't find your email address, so I hope you see this. His ebay ID is: michaelsutcliffe

Angus doesn't feel well today...it is his first day off of pain killers and he is showing discomfort :-(

Another beautiful gift which I'm sure Annemarie will treasure.

I saw your comment on my blog about the scissors - I thought of you when I pulled 'Julia' out of the box for that photo. It was a perfect match for the fob from Barbara.

Hoping that Angus has a better day tomorrow!

Oh I feel so bad and mysterious. Like any good story that unfolds, you have to have a little surprise. Thanks for putting some work into my RR too!
I love Annemarie's little piece.
Sorry about Angus being unwell. My other pal's kitty isn't well either. So many kitties to think about.

Oh, poor Angus. His first day without painkillers can't be easy...

I love your bird ornament Carol!!! It's just perfect for my stick tree. As you know, I already put it in there, and I'll post a picture as soon as I update! Thanks again. Your gift actually inspired me to get some work done myself, which is very good :o)

I can't wait to see Dianne's RR in real life. I won't have to wait long though, because I'm the one to stitch on it next. Yay!

Oops. Sorry. I totally neglected to mention that I hope Angus' pain will be short-lived and that he'll soon be up to his usual activities. Kitty hugs to him!

Thank you for the reminder about the scissors...I zipped right over to eBay and bought a pair of the Julias from your hubby!! Thus ends my stash-shopping for a while....

I hope Angus continues to improve. The crazy furballs at my house send some purrs and snuffles his way!

Love your little bird ornament - how sweet! I love that the fabric is called Sleepy Hollow too. I might have to look into that. Hopefully Angus's discomfort will lessen soon. Big hugs for him!
