Finished Band 3

I finished up the third band on the Long Dog Mystery Sampler, aka 18th Century Band Sampler. Yay! I look forward to having a new band to start next week. I just love Long Dog Samplers, although they sure are not quick, easy stitches.

***A non-stitching note that I add here as someday I may want to look back on it: Tonight the Boston Red Sox hit back to back to back to back home runs (that's four) in one inning against some unfortunate rookie pitcher for the Yankees. It was quite a sight! Kudos to Ramirez, Drew, Lowell and Varitek.

Stitched on today: Finished a gift, and 18th Century Band Sampler

Yee-haa, it looks fantastic. I just passed half-way last night, so am feeling extra-motivated with my LD now.

The LDMS is looking great, Carol!

Four homeruns in a row? Good grief, that poor rookie pitcher. He may be a Yankee, but I can't help but feel a little sorry for him. ;) Who's your favorite Sox this season?

The sampler looks great. I can't wait to see what the next band looks like.

For your not stitching note also remember this was the first time since like 1990 that we swept the Yankees in Fenway. So a good weekend all around.

Nicely done! I'm weakening on the Long Dog Samplers......I thought I'd want my first to be PL, after seeing yours, but I'm kinda leaning towrards Renaissance (sp?) now......I 'think' I'm almost at the commitment to buy stage, lol.

BTW, Thanks for the email. I emailed you back yesterday from my gmail so let me know if it doesn't get to you :)

Congratulations on finishing your band. It looks lovely.
That must have been some baseball game. Imagine being there in person - due to the excitement you might drop your hot dog with sauerkraut. Oh how I love those!!

Yesterday I was reading through some of my earlier blog entries & I discovered that you were the 2nd ever to comment. I don't think I ever replied but will do so now. Yes oma is Dutch as well as German so we have similar roots Carol. Sorry this answer took so long in coming. Have a good week.

Hi Carol,

Your band sampler is looking so pretty! I missed the 4 homeruns (you have one ex-brave in there - J.D. Drew). I did see the 2 run homerun in the 7th where they got ahead of the Yankees. What a series!!
