It was a busy day here today, but I did manage to find some time this evening to work on Mermaid Heaven. This one is just zipping along so quickly - no fractional stitches or outlining (except for the baby's eyelids so far....). Unfortunately, my camera does not take a decent enough photo for you to see the gorgeous color of the fabric. Maybe I will take an outdoor pic and see if it shows better... hmmmm....
Well.... I thought there was going to be some great news on Ryan Newman today. Boy, it sure looked that way! His #39 Dodge was absolutely dominant all day in the Busch series race in Chicago. He led something like 118 of 200 laps today... but a very costly mistake by a rookie pit crew member cost it all for him. Before feeling too down about it, Ryan did rally all the way back from 18th to 3rd after the mistake. I wish he could use his Nextel Cup pit crew in Busch races, but simply cannot.... so the error cost the win... yet he had a great attitude about it anyhow... better luck tomorrow in the Nextel Cup race :-) (photo from www.nascar.com)
Congratulations to Matt Clement for making the All Star Roster in light of Roy Halladay's injury :-) I just knew there would be a way to get Matt on the team :-)
Well, my daylily pics came out pretty horrible again today, but here are three that are about worth showing: Daylily: Inner ViewDaylily: Little Wine Cup
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Hide and Seek while I was stitching tonight... I find it funny, being a therapist, how screenwriters like to make psychologists have difficulties with family events in their films.... good movie, though! There are four alternate endings still for us to watch too :-)
I want to thank everyone who emailed me with various color conversions for Celtic Christmas! The response was wonderful! As I wrote last night, I did get the one I was looking for, but I also really like all the other ones you sent me! What a great community we have here - thanks again!
Here is the conversion for Celtic Autumn that I will be using as well :-) Thanks for that one too!

I can't believe you've stitched that much on Mermaid Heaven already! I simply don't know how you do it - with all the projects you have on the go at the same time.
This is such a lovely, lovely design, full of tenderness!
Your Mermaid heaven is really beautiful, the baby looks so contented :)
Carol,
Your start on Mermaid Heaven is great. Love the color conversion for Celtic Christmas. Beautiful!
Oh goodness. I think I need to work on Mermaid Heaven today. You are so far a head of me! You'll be done and I'll still be on the first page! LOL

Hi Carol, great progress on Mermaid Heaven.
Love the Celtic Autumn conversion -where did you find it (just out of curiosity, lol).
Your mermaid look lovely - the baby is a dream to look at. As said before, I have never tried something like this be~fore. I have done tablecloths, runners, etc. Must be the uropean culture. I have to try these kind ot embroideries. They are gorgeous.

I am coming into this very late, I know! But, I would really love for someone to share the L&L Celtic Autumn conversions with me. I have had the patterns for all the celtic angels for 3 years, but have had a baby and moved during that time. And, I have had no time to stich. Now, the baby is 2 1/2 and I NEED to stitch! Please help! Thank you in advance!
