Switching Nights

I didn't really feel up to stitching on Wisdom tonight. It is Wednesday, and my rotation calls for Wisdom. But I did not sleep well at all last night and feel a bit like I am running on fumes.... So, I decided to work on Celtic Winter a night early... 28 ct, simpler stitching (no confetti stitching, no blended threads, much easier to hold in my lap....).... less chance of making any boo boos!! I probably will work on Wisdom tomorrow night instead.... I noticed you really cannot see the "N" that I stitched tonight. It is 3756 and B5200 on my Blue Diamonds Reflections lugana... very light! The "T" will be light too, it is mostly B5200. But in real life it looks lovely... and when the gold and plum beads are added to embellish the center of each letter, it will show up even more.... This is the one drawback to using this lighter fabric :-)

I picked up this small (10" x 11") belfast solo from Silkweaver today... it caught my eye as a possible fun choice for one of Drawn Thread's small projects or something like that....

Not much else to say.... Friday is crunch time for the Red Sox after tonight's heartbreaking loss. I kid you not, I am finally feeling OK about all of this.... if we lose the series, it's really OK :-)

I really want to thank Debbi for sending me a great ebay link for flower bulbs... of course I had to order some! I agree with Debbi, these Blueberry Ripple Triumph tulips are lovely! So, I ordered an offer of 10.... now to hope that the little chipmunks don't make a big winter snack out of them!!

I gave up on tulips 4 years ago. Either the squirrels mess with the bulbs or the deer eat the tops off of them before they bloom! CW is looking great!

Winter is coming along beautifully - it's always the way, though, that photographs never truly capture the beauty of needlework, especially when specialty items like metallics and beads are concerned. I'm enjoying seeing her progress :-)

You've made great progress on CW again Carol.
I love that Silkweaver you chose. It should indeed go beautifully for Drawn Thread projects - seems just perfect for them!

Hope you just got a good night's sleep...

She looks wonderful, I really love the fabric choice you made for her! (And the colors).

Still haven't touched Legends, I finished my second chimp out of 3 yesterday so hopefully tomorrow the chimps will be done? Which moves me to knitting -- not sure when Wisdom will get some more attention but it does move along much more smoothly once you just break into those wings!
