Earth Angel's "Official Portrait" :-)

I asked Mike to take a photo of my Earth Angel this afternoon - he does a much better job! This one really shows the colors, the beads and the fabric much, much better - so this is her "official portrait" :-) I researched back in my blog, and I stitched her from 3/16/05 - 10/10/05 in my rotation. I was asked in yesterday's comments section what will replace her in my rotation. For now, nothing will. I need the spot to catch up on what I have going... and if I could only find time to work on Girl with Cat, Angel of Love, Little Wings and/or Houses of Hawk Run Hollow, I would be so happy :-) And, someone asked how I will finish her off... Mike seems to like this one quite a bit, and she is going to be framed (very soon, I hope!!) along with Fairy Flora, Miracle Butterfly, Petal Fairy and Celtic Band Sampler... one big delivery to the framer soon!
It's Garden Spots Sampler SAL night with Jo. I don't think I got much done, really. I was so distracted by the baseball game! But, I do love this sampler so much. I have probably already said this, but this is such a fun and lovely stitch! I believe Jo agrees. The orange/rust blob in the center right of the picture is the beginnings of a leaf... will have to finish that next Tuesday... will look better then. Sorry you can't enlarge the picture, I again had to use Photobucket to post this...

I have two charts that are available for adoption right now - Petal Fairy (***Petal Fairy is claimed now) and Earth Angel(***Earth Angel is also claimed now) - each is used but still in great condition. Free to a good home :-) First come, first served :-)

These are the two Kustom Krafts charts I picked up on ebay over the weekend... I got Green Dragon for my niece, but In Blue is mine, all mine :-)

Now this blog entry is going to get a little bit long... I got in a whole bunch of stash today, I ordered some stash.... and I was high bidder on something I cannot believe I found! I am a Jeannette Douglas addict. 100% through and through. Tonight I was high bidder for the chart for Ottawa Sampler, one of her limited edition pieces! Looks like the two JABC buttons needed will be easy to order. I am so thrilled!
It certainly is true that "when it rains, it pours." I have been waiting forever for my many ordered items to come in, and almost all of them came in all at once today. It was fun to open it all up! I received the latest issue of Just Cross Stitch today - nothing in it thrilled me at all... can't win them all, that is for sure! I also got in a spool of Kreinik for Mermaids of the Deep Blue, the accessory pack for Jingle Bells Christmas Tree Farm, Mirabilia's new Garden Beauty, Little House Needleworks' Coffee Menu, Country Cottage Needleworks' Ladybugs and Bumblebees, Passione Ricamo's stunning Dawn Fairy Spirit of Grace, a large cut of R&R 36 ct light cappuccino linen, a fat quarter of Silkweaver 36 ct Golden Promise, a fat quarter of SMF's Oddball belfast, a fat quarter of R&R 40 ct Sheeps Straw linen, a fat quarter of Hidden Treasures' Winter Sky 28 ct evenweave... and a bonus of some sort from Stitching Bits & Bobs of a skein of Rajmahal Art Silk in Shade 115, a silky deep purple - didn't expect that, but thanks! Where to even begin with all of this??!

...And, I got two new Silkweaver solos today - both 36 ct edinborough fat quarters... one primarily beige, one primarily rose... those are super hard to get, they go fast... but I could not get the pics to go up... so I will post them instead when they come in the mail :-) But, Blogger let me get the Ottawa Sampler up tonight... looks like it is working again, but now my entry is getting very long... so will still skip the solos :-)

Oh, of course... it is New DVD Release Tuesday - got one I have wanted for a while now, Kingdom of Heaven - love movies with knights and medieval themes! Can't watch it tonight though - Angels/White Sox ALCS game is on! (Angels won! 3-2 over the White Sox - woo hoo! - they just have to win 3 more games and they will be off to the World Series!).

Christine asked which HAED designs I am looking to do... Revelations, Waiting for Neptune, Sebastien, and The Master Plan are all in my stash :-) Want to do them all, of course! LOL!!

Carol the new picture makes her look even more stunning! The colors of that fabric are amazing, and it really makes her stand out!

I would love to take Petal Fairy off your hands if no one else has asked yet - no worries if they have but I have loved this piece since you've stitched it. You sure have inspired new tastes for me, Green Old Gardens is top of my list since you stitched it and I can't wait to get that started after the gift stuff is all done (wedding and christmas).

Amazing speed on Earth Angel - looking forward to seeing what you stitch on tonight :)

Earth Angel is stunning!! I have enjoyed watching you stitch it. It also looks like you got some wonderful stash today. I have been looking into getting the new Mirabilia.

If EA is still unclaimed, I would love to have her. I would be happy to trade something for her.

That picture really shows off the pretty colors of EA. It seems like such a calm, soothing piece. I can see why your hubby favors it. I am so curious how you organize that stash of yours- you get new things everyday!

Congratulations on your Earth Angel. She is gorgeous. As far as portraits go, my husband is definitely the photographer of the household. It takes me forever, and then the shots are blurry or the colors are off. Also, you got some great stash. I would love to see your stash room - it must look like a LNS. How do you keep track of your charts, fibers and fabrics?

Also, I agree with you about the Just Cross Stitch this month - nothing really tripped my trigger. The best thing was the ad for the Celebration of NW next May!!!!!

Happy stitching, Margaret in Maryland

Great stash, Carol!!! I love all your new patterns (I'm going to start a LHN pattern soon). Remember me when you want to start stitching Dawn Fairy, I have to stitch it too.

Your EA is just beautiful - congratulations! And what a great stash haul!

Earth Angel is beautiful! I'm working on one of MLI's designs myself right now -- Once Upon a Time. All the confetti blues in her skirt are driving me KEE-RAY-ZEE... I keep getting bored and switching to another color. Oh well, a length of floss is a length of floss, no matter what color, right?

And that is some great stash! I'm with Margaret, I'd love to know how you organize all of your goodies.....

Hi Carol, I was going to take a look at how much you and Jo have done on your SAL, but her site seems to be down, all I'm getting is a blank screen.
I love looking at her work, hope she's not blocked me or something :( Feel free to check out my blog if you'd like. Great "official" finish, I can't wait to see her framed up.

Wow-you are definitely an expert stitcher with a lot of patience. Your finishes (and WIPs) are gorgeous.
Thanks for the inspiration.
