Amish Angel Ornament

I haven't really stitched much today, and what I have stitched I cannot show yet (a new Crazy Exchange project). I have been wrapped up in other things, including reading Atonement by Ian McEwan, and really struggling to decide if I can even find this main character, Briony, to be remotely appealing. I like other characters, though, and I plug ahead.. But, I did get some photos of the Amish Angel ornament today... so that will be my entry for the day...

Carol-- she is darling! Thanks for the link to the design. I think I may try this one also, if you don't mind. :-)

I'll admit that I didn't enjoy this novel by McEwan.

I'll even admit that I like Garth Brooks. ;)

Your angel came out great!

Love your angel Carol. I'm going to stitch her myself, if you don't mind me pinching your idea.

Lovely ornament Carol :) I will have to search out a lot more freebies considering my stash diet :)

How sweet! Hope your reading is going a little better. I hate when you pick up a book that you think your going to really enjoy to only find out it so hard to get into.

Your angel ornie is lovely Carol, congratulations.

I felt pretty much the same reading Atonement and as a result didn't go and see the film because I couldn't feel anything for the main characters

A beautiful little angel and a lovely finish! I'm enjoying watching your Quaker Christmas grow too.

very pretty ornament :)

I really thought I was the only one that didn't like the characters in Atonement. I saw the movie two weeks ago and was sorely disappointed. I struggled through the movie wanting to feel something for the characters .. I really wanted to care about them .. but in the end the highlight of the movie was Vanessa Redgrave. Good luck with the book!

She is just lovely Carol. I had completely forgotten about MLIs angel freebies. I'll have to stitch one some day.

Oh boy, I truly adore that ornie! I've had that saved for years as a freebie, but didn't realise just how beautiful it is stitched up ... I think this is definitely going to go on my "must stitch" list :)

The ornament turned out beautifully! I just saw Atonement at the theatre, and I know what you mean about Briony.
