I got a wonderful treat in the mail today - or rather, my cats did! Sandy in Canada (I don't think she has a blog) sent these to me. I sent her a card of gold rose buttons last year for a biscornu she was making, and she decided to return the favor (not necessary!!) with these wonderful little catnip mittens. She sent one for each cat!
I have two quick shots of the earliest takers - here Beau is wrestling with one...
...and Ava is enjoying hers too. As you can see, both cats were busy licking their mittens. Thanks so much Sandy!! They all say thank you in their special way too :-)
And, finally, a little bit more of A Quaker Christmas to show. I was busy finishing my fob for the Scissor Fob Exchange tonight... but did sneak in some time on this one... my current favorite :-)

Aw, great kitty pictures :)
Your framed work looks wonderful! You did a lovely job stitching the Legends of the Dragons design! We've been wondering if we would team up again for the next year of the dragon in 2012 with a different type of design...
Happy Stitching and thank you for showing off you lovely work!
Wow, your framed pieces are looking great Carol!!! I'm still a big fan of And a forest grew. And your Quaker christmas is also very nice.

OHHHH..I absolutely love VQ in that frame...it's perfection against the linen and the thread color!
And AAFG is just spectacular too, WOW!

I went to go finish my scissor fob this weekend - alas in my efforts to tidy up first (tidy first = reward = stitching time), I managed to hoover up my beading needle! So now I'm stuck until I get another one tomorrow - and THEN I'll finish it :)
Oh wow! Love all the framed pieces they are gorgeous. AFG is my favorite though. I so enjoyed watching your progress on that one.
Love the framing. I have a fondness for the wooden frames but the gold one really sets off the stitched piece. Congratulations on some wonderful projects.
Absolutely beautiful finished pieces!!!
Beautiful stitching and framing.
Those little kitty mitty's are adorable.
Carol, The pieces framed are just GORGEOUS!!!!! What lucky kitties, those are sweet little mitten toys. You make me want to get that QC back out, somehow it sifted to the bottom of the pile..... now how did that happen???? It is beautiful piece, what is the linen you are using?
I love them all, especially the first one. Very beautiful!

Lovely exchange from Marie! Did she do that over one?
Your framed pieces are AWESOME. I especially love seeing And a Forest Grew all finished - wow!
I just love how you framed your pieces! They look fabulous.
Your framed pieces look amazing! I can't wait to see the last one framed. Cute mittens, what a great idea!
They all are soooo beautifull !! Especially I love Quaker and Dragons.
They look fabulous Carol! I really AAFG. Enjoy!
Your pictures look great my favourite is the AMAP :)
They look gorgeous all framed up. They were lovely and so impressive with all the detail before, but the frames set them off even better. I'll bet you were thrilled to be able to get them back and hang them. Quaker does remind me of caramel and chocolate with its coloring, and Forest is so pretty, but Dragons is my favorite. The three of them are awesome.
Kitties look like they are having such fun with their mittens, what a cute and fun surprise. My cats love catnip too.
Sue
