Who is Garth Brooks?

I finished my Amish Angel ornament today, but it was already dark out when I was done, so I will wait and take a photo of it tomorrow in natural light. I did get right back to work on A Quaker Christmas again. Sorry my photo is out of focus.

Carol R. stated that she did not know who is Garth Brooks... Garth is one of country music's top stars. He has been in retirement for the past several years, choosing to live a quiet life raising his children. He has recently returned, and I found his new song on You Tube, in case Carol, or anyone else, wants to learn more about Garth :-) (And yes, his concert was truly short last night and the commercials were in abundance... but it was a charity concert, so I guess the charity did need to get its message in as often as it could).

And... one of my favorites, The Dance...

Certainly not making fun of anyone who doesn't know who Garth Brooks is (change the genre and I probably don't know many popular singers myself)...but I don't know if I've ever come across that question before! I guess he's been out of the scene long enough that it makes sense some people might now know who he is.

I saw him in concert back when I was still in high school...I think it was late 1993 or early 1994. Awesome concert! Lots of energy, lots of fun. He really got into it and got the crowd going.

Thanks Carol for the You Tube links for Garth Brooks. I had heard The Dance before but didn't know who it was. I will see if I can locate a cd of his 'Ultimate Hits' and give him a try!

And Kendra just put it down to me being a Brit - we don't get too many cowboys here LOL

I am also not making fun but find it hard to believe if shopping in grocery stores, watching any TV that someone hasn't heard of Garth Brooks. He is on covers in mags at the checkout counters along with Trisha. I love Garth Brooks.

I once went to a burger joint in Tulsa that Garth Brooks frequents. I guess I was supposed to be more impressed because the waitress told me in hushed tones that I was sitting exactly.where.Garth.Brooks.always.sits. When she left, I told my friend, (who said, "don't say it.") "I will never wash my butt again." But I lied. I don't care that much about Garth Brooks. ;)

Quaker Christmas is looking lovely Carol, great progress.

Garth Brooks isn't a big star here in the UK outside the country music fans
